Lately we had several basic questions about how to configure Railo with Resin. This blog entry describes the different options one has when using Railo in a multi virtual host environment. The first part will explain the configuration of the Railo servlet.
In this blog entry I want to gather all different Railo installation guides I have found in the past couple of months and share them with you. Many people are asking us about an installation guide for their system. We will have guides for all different kind of operating systems on our new Railo website next month, but for the moment this list should be able help you with your installation problems.
Yesterday I was able to present the latest developments and Railo things in an online CFUG meetup presentation hosted by Charlie Arehart.
There is a major difference in how Railo addresses structs in comparison to the CFML standard. The result is that implicit addressing, (as I call it) works in the CFML standard but not in Railo. This is an issue we are long aware of AND we will NOT fix it.
Finally after 6 long years there is a CFML conference in Germany again. The basic schedule is like that of "A wee dram of Scotch in London" this year. 7 Speakers for one day. If you like to read more about the event, just go to the official (Railo powered :-) website.
I am very glad that we from Railo were able to bring two very famous CFML people to the CFCAMP. Luis Majano, author of Coldbox and Mark Drew, well known to all of you from
CFEclipse and the Reactor framework where he is leading the development at the moment. We hope to see as many as possible in Munich next week.
There are a lot of users who would like to test Railo on their Linux systems but who are confused about how to get started. In this short tutorial I'm going to show you how easy it is to get up and running with a simple app server on CentOS 5.2. More tutorials are going to follow over the next weeks.
